Website Business, Backlink,
and Traffic Resources


If you're new to the world of website building, web based business, and internet marketing, then getting started can seem like a daunting task. Even if you've been doing these things for a while, it's easy to lose track of the many aspects of these tasks that must be handled correctly. This page serves as a launching point for information on a variety of subjects of importance for website business building and internet marketing. Whether you are a newbie wanting to get started or an intermediate-to-advanced website business developer, the following articles and recommended resources will help you achieve your online objectives.

The information below was carefully selected as the information and resources I have found to be most useful in my internet business pursuits. I do not just list an exhaustive collection of resources - I find such lists to be virtually useless because they take so much time and effort to wade through. Instead, I provide a limited set of recommendations for useful products and techniques, saving you the time and money of having to personally evaluation everything yourself. In some cases, I boil down the essential ingredients of a subject into a few paragraphs, saving you from having to purchase a product at all.

Website Business 101 - Getting Started


If you are a complete newbie looking to get started in building a website business, this section is for you. There are of course lots of resources available, and lots of gurus will be happy to take your money to tell you how to get started. Unfortunately, many of these website business systems promise you easy wealth and simply don't deliver. The truth is that getting started in building a website business isn't that hard but it takes two things:
  1. A willingness to learn a few things
  2. Some effort and hard work
If you are not willing to do either of these, forget it. You will never succeed online unless you are willing to learn a little bit and put in some hard work. Anyone who tells you otherwise is lying to you and wants to take your money.

The best way to start is to read this report entitled Getting Started in Building Websites For Profit. This report tells you all the basic information that you'll need to understand how people make money online. This is the same information that many of the high priced gurus try to sell to you, only here it's free. As you can see from the Neurolinker homepage, my own business model is all about providing backlink and content services to people who are already building websites and web businesses. I'm not interested in trying to sell you information on how to get started. Instead I'd rather give you that information for free to help you get started and get you to the point where you can really appreciate how valuable the Neurolinker system is in helping to explode your web business.

Website Traffic and Link Building Systems


There are several other website traffic and link building systems in addition to Neurolinker. A few of these are direct competitors but more of these are complementary systems that use entirely different traffic and backlink generation techniques and can (should) be used in addition to Neurolinker with no conflict whatsoever. I discuss each of these below.

TrafficDrill

Summary The TrafficDrill system takes a unique "I'll scratch your back if you scratch mine" approach to link building and traffic generation. This system is basically a forum where you can post your websites and ask people to give you links from StumbleUpon, Digg your story, do some social bookmarking, etc. If you help people out, you get Kharma points from the system, making it more likely that others will help you too. This is a really good idea. The Traffic Drill system also has a number of videos and tutorials on advanced techniques for building traffic.
Neurolinker Competitor or Compliment? Compliment. This system builds links and traffic in a manner completely separate from, and complimentary to, Neurolinker. If you really want to build traffic, it is a great idea to get this system.
Pros: Clever system for working with a community of people to get traffic to everyone's website. You have control over how much effort you put in and how much traffic you get.
Cons: This system was implemented as a forum where you need to post your URLs for people to bookmark. This means that you need to keep posting in order to keep people focused on doing this for you. Also, while you can do bookmarking for other people who post in the forums, it is not easy to do posing for any third parties that respond to the same posting you do. It is very easy to lose track of what you have done for whom. Implementing this as a forum was probably easy for the developer to do but it is the wrong approach. It is a "one to many" solution for what is really a "many to many" problem. It was precisely because of this inefficient implementation that I decided to provide this social bookmarking feature in a much better "many-to-many" implementation inside Neurolinker. In other words, Neurolinker now does everything Traffic Drill does, and does it much better than Traffic Drill.
Price: $29.95/month
My Recommendation: Neurolinker now does everything Traffic Drill does, and does it much better than Traffic Drill, and for less money. Neurolinker also does many more things than Traffic Drill does, like automatically finding relevant links, article marketing and free website content. Neurolinker is cheaper and way better than Traffic Drill. I give Traffic Drill 2 stars out of 5, just because it is a clever idea even though it is a mediocre implementation.

3WayLinks

Summary The 3WayLinks program provides your website with up to 250 links from other websites in the system. All websites in the system are indexed by Google, so all the links have value. All links are one way links, not reciprocal links. To use the program, you must set up a links/resources page on your own website to link out to other websites in the system. This system has been in operation for over a year now and people have achieved good results.
Neurolinker Competitor or Compliment? Competitor. This competes directly with Neurolinker. Neurolinker is better and cheaper.
Pros: Reliable system with a track record, easy to set up.
Cons: Links are usually from unrelated sites. Users are limited to 250 links and can only use up to 3 variations in anchor text.
Price: $47/month
My Recommendation: 3Waylinks is a decent system to get you links. On the other hand it is a bit limited in functionality when compared to Neurolinker, and it is more expensive. I give this 3 stars out of 5.
